We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in Provo, Utah. This role is essential for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport, stack, and retrieve materials. Accurate inventory management and adherence to strict Safety protocols are paramount. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations, from receiving to shipping. We provide all necessary PPE and emphasize continuous training to maintain the highest safety standards. This is a demanding role requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe operation, offering a competitive salary and opportunities within the logistics field.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and shipping docks.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping platforms.
- Stack and arrange materials according to established procedures, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Follow all Safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and hazard awareness.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and Logistics .
- Ensure adherence to proper Lifting techniques and load securement.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, standing, and walking.
- Capability of Lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift operating procedures and Safety best practices.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear required PPE , including safety vests, hard hats, and gloves as needed.
