As a Material Handler, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse. Your duties will include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials. You will operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, and contribute to maintaining an organized and safe working environment. Safety is paramount in our logistics operations, and all employees are required to strictly follow safety protocols and wear the appropriate PPE at all times. This role involves regular lifting and physical activity. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates.
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Load and unload materials from vehicles.
- Perform quality checks on products and materials.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve logistics and operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics role is advantageous.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including frequent lifting of up to 55 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Dependability and punctuality.
