Join our bustling distribution center in Boston, Massachusetts as an Order Picker! We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented individuals to accurately and efficiently pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in our logistics chain, ensuring that our customers receive their products on time and in perfect condition. This is a physically demanding role that requires speed, accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will navigate the warehouse using order lists and scanning equipment to locate and retrieve items. Proper handling and staging of goods are essential. Our operations rely on your diligence in maintaining inventory accuracy through careful scanning and reporting any discrepancies. You'll be working with a variety of products, so attention to detail is paramount. We emphasize the importance of teamwork and clear communication with your colleagues and supervisors. Your daily tasks will include operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment, so experience with such tools is beneficial. Adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This role involves frequent lifting, often of multiple items, so you must be able to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners and pick lists.
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through diligent scanning and reporting.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform tasks involving frequent lifting of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order instructions and item codes.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and using PPE.
- Experience in logistics operations is a plus.
