We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packers for our distribution center in San Antonio, Texas. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning technology, and then carefully packing them to ensure they arrive at their destination in perfect condition. Safety is a top priority in our warehouse; therefore, strict adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of provided PPE, is required. This position involves significant walking, standing, and requires the ability to handle lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists and/or RF scanners.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipment.
- Stage packed orders for outgoing carriers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Understanding of logistics flow is beneficial.
