Are you a highly motivated individual with a keen eye for detail? We are looking for an Order Picker to join our bustling warehouse team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders. You will utilize scanning technology to ensure inventory accuracy and contribute to the efficient processing of orders. This position is fundamental to our logistics chain, ensuring timely and correct fulfillment for our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
- Read order tickets and accurately pick specified items from warehouse locations.
- Use handheld scanners to verify item identification and quantities, maintaining inventory integrity.
- Transport picked items to packing stations or designated staging areas.
- Ensure picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with stocking and replenishment of inventory as needed.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Contribute to overall warehouse logistics and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent bending and reaching.
- Must be comfortable with lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and scanning technology.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workspace and following safety guidelines.
