Our growing logistics facility in Provo, Utah is looking for a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will play a vital role in material handling, ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse, from receiving to shipping. Your commitment to safety and operational excellence is paramount to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas, production areas, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Stack and rack materials to designated heights and locations.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support logistics and operations by ensuring timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and hazard awareness.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable and have a strong commitment to safety.
