About the Role
As an Accountant at Atlas Tube , a division of Zekelman Industries , you will support financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting, compliance, and financial analysis. You will contribute to month-end close activities, financial reporting and insights, and process improvements across accounting workflows. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain. This role is an existing vacancy and is located in Harrow, ON.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.

• Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making and operational efficiency.

• Oversee invoicing, payments, and collections to support strong cash flow management.

• Reconcile customer accounts and vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Partner with internal teams to improve billing accuracy and process efficiency.

• Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS), raw material pricing, and production expenses.

• Track inventory transactions, variances, and cost allocations to optimize financial performance.

• Assist with standard cost updates and variance analysis.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local tax requirements, including sales tax filings and property tax reporting.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing financial data and documentation.

• Maintain adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.

• Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts.

• Analyze budget-to-actual performance and recommend cost savings opportunities.

• Identify trends and risks impacting financial performance.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and develop solutions.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.

Base Salary Range:
($62,000—$109,000 CAD)

Additional compensation may include:
Yearly merit-increase
Profit-sharing bonus opportunities
