About the Role
As an Accountant at Atlas Tube , a division of Zekelman Industries , you will support financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting, compliance, and financial analysis. You will contribute to month-end close activities, financial reporting and insights, and process improvements across accounting workflows. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain. This role is an existing vacancy and is located in Harrow, ON.
What You'll Do
Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
Oversee invoicing, payments, and collections to support strong cash flow management.
Reconcile customer accounts and vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Partner with internal teams to improve billing accuracy and process efficiency.
Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS), raw material pricing, and production expenses.
Track inventory transactions, variances, and cost allocations to optimize financial performance.
Assist with standard cost updates and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local tax requirements, including sales tax filings and property tax reporting.
Support internal and external audits by preparing financial data and documentation.
Maintain adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Analyze budget-to-actual performance and recommend cost savings opportunities.
Identify trends and risks impacting financial performance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and develop solutions.
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
Base Salary Range:
($62,000—$109,000 CAD)
Additional compensation may include:
