Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring smooth warehouse operations, and supporting efficient supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of inventory control principles, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain organized and clean stockroom areas, ensuring proper placement and labeling of all items.
  • Track the movement of inventory, including receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping.
  • Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) software for all inventory transactions.
  • Identify and report any damaged or expired stock.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with warehouse associates and management to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in inventory management and logistics.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new inventory control strategies.
  • Monitor stock rotation to ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or LIFO (Last-In, First-Out) as required.
  • Perform data entry and analysis related to inventory performance metrics.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to inventory handling and security.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to a safe working environment, including proper lifting techniques.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
