We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our Dallas, Texas distribution facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, equipment, and products within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, and ensuring that materials are properly stored and organized. The ideal candidate has prior experience with various types of warehouse machinery and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will play a critical role in maintaining the flow of goods through our logistics chain. A keen understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the ability to perform demanding physical tasks are essential. This position requires the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Occasional lifting of heavier items, potentially exceeding 50 pounds, may be required, though assistance will be provided when necessary. - Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from designated locations within the warehouse.
- Store materials in an organized and accessible manner.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Wear and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Follow all logistics and shipping procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
