We are seeking a highly motivated and efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well under pressure, and is committed to maintaining a safe work environment. You will utilize scanning equipment and pick lists to locate and gather items, ensuring accuracy at every step. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to customer order specifications.
- Utilize RF scanners and/or pick lists to identify and retrieve items.
- Verify picked items for accuracy before proceeding to the packing station.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of picking areas and equipment.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures, including the mandatory use of required PPE.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or low stock levels to supervisors immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall logistics flow.
- Contribute to team goals for order fulfillment speed and accuracy.
- Follow all instructions provided by warehouse supervisors and leads.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels accurately.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to work efficiently.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability for lifting items up to 40 lbs.
- A strong focus on safety and adherence to all safety guidelines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is a plus.
