You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, manage stock rotation, and implement procedures to minimize loss and errors. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate data entry into the inventory management system (IMS) or warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence and ensure product freshness.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to prevent loss and damage.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records, including location tracking.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow and storage.
- Identify slow-moving or excess inventory and report findings to management.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist in developing and refining inventory control strategies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or logistics is required.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (IMS) and/or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of various inventory control techniques.
