We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our facility. This includes receiving incoming goods, stocking shelves, preparing items for shipment, and operating equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts. Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment is our top priority, and strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected. You will be involved in tasks that require considerable lifting and physical exertion. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong work ethic. Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Perform basic quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed to support our logistics goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
