Our Indianapolis, Indiana facility is seeking a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is pivotal in managing the flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, picking and packing outgoing orders, and preparing them for dispatch. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to Safety are essential. We are looking for reliable individuals who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Receive, log, and store incoming inventory in designated areas.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Follow all Safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- This role involves significant Lifting and movement of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with logistics processes and warehouse terminology.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- A firm commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to protocols.
