We are seeking a motivated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring materials are moved efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from designated areas, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Verify counts and inspect materials for damage before and after transport.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations and safety.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including frequent Lifting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
