We are seeking a skilled and reliable Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse environment. This role is critical to maintaining efficient warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, and supporting the overall logistics flow of goods. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors and other team members to optimize inventory management and streamline receiving and shipping processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe and efficient operation of reach trucks, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to transport materials throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading of trailers.
- Accurately pick and place inventory according to WMS (Warehouse Management System) instructions.
- Perform routine checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required, ensuring accuracy of stock levels.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways for safe movement of equipment and personnel.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse setting.
- Valid certification for reach truck operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with WMS is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
