Join our bustling warehouse in Detroit, Michigan, as a Picker/Packer! This role is fundamental to our **logistics** operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and dispatched promptly. You will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves and meticulously packaging them for shipment. Maintaining a **safe** and orderly workspace is paramount, and adherence to all **safety** guidelines, including the correct use of **PPE**, is expected. The position requires consistent physical effort, including significant **lifting**, bending, and standing throughout the shift. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to quality. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order tickets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package picked items securely and efficiently, ensuring they are protected for transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup.
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all **safety** protocols.
- Adhere to all **PPE** requirements and **safety** procedures.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper picking and stock handling.
- Contribute to the efficiency of our **logistics** operations.
- Perform **lifting** of items up to 50 lbs as required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to **lift** up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse **safety** standards and **PPE**.
- Basic understanding of **logistics** principles.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
