Our Jacksonville, Florida facility is looking for a reliable Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for the initial processing of all incoming goods. This includes unloading trucks, verifying product against shipping documents, inspecting for damages, and accurately entering received inventory into our system. Your role is critical in maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse. We emphasize a safe working environment, and all employees are required to follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and trailers.
- Verify received merchandise against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label inventory as required.
- Stage items for distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving dock area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and mandatory PPE requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory control principles.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
