We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Your day-to-day activities will involve navigating the warehouse efficiently, using a handheld scanner to identify and retrieve items, and ensuring that all products are packed correctly and securely. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Use a handheld scanner to track inventory and confirm picked items.
- Package products securely and efficiently, using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking and cycle counts.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding order status and any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be comfortable with lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
