We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing hand-held scanners and other equipment to locate and retrieve products. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure order accuracy and minimize errors. You will also be responsible for packaging items securely to prevent damage during transit, applying shipping labels, and staging orders for outbound transportation. Adherence to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures is mandatory. This position requires consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using a pick list or scanner.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping containers, using dunnage and other protective materials.
- Apply shipping labels and other required documentation.
- Conduct quality checks on packed items before they are sent out.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company and industry safety standards and guidelines.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks as needed.
- Adhere to strict PPE requirements.
Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus. Familiarity with scanning technology is beneficial. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of warehouse safety best practices is essential.
