Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our vibrant logistics team in San Francisco, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. Your duties will include receiving shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly logging all received items into our inventory system. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are paramount to ensuring the integrity of our stock. You will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure seamless inbound logistics. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory.   • Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
  • Verify incoming goods against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
  • Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
  • Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Label and stage received goods for put-away.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and relevant departments promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient inbound logistics operations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and warehouse management software.
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents and purchase orders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Physical ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and gloves.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
