Join our growing warehouse in Omaha, Nebraska, as an Order Picker! We are seeking reliable and efficient individuals to accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their correct orders in a timely manner. You will utilize hand-held scanners and follow detailed pick lists to retrieve products from warehouse locations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong attention to detail, can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to safety. Responsibilities:
- Select items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements and pick tickets.
- Utilize RF scanners or other technology to accurately record picked items.
- Verify product information against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for packing and shipping.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and storage locations.
- Participate in inventory checks and assist with stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet or exceed picking speed and accuracy targets.
- Support overall logistics efficiency through diligent order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and pick lists.
- Familiarity with scanning technology and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following all safety procedures.
