We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and prepared for shipment. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order lists, using scanning equipment to track inventory, and carefully packing items to ensure they are protected during transit. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols, and assisting with other warehouse duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specifications.
- Utilize RF scanners and other warehouse technology to manage inventory.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure quality control.
- Package items securely for shipment, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment setting is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30-50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and technology is beneficial.
- Understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
