Optimal Care Services is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic services to infants and toddlers (birth to 3 years) to promote gross motor development, mobility, strength, balance, and functional movement. We believe all children are capable of learning and making progress, and you will empower families with positioning, handling, and activity strategies to support their child's motor development throughout daily life.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations using standardized developmental assessments
* Provide individual therapy sessions addressing gross motor skills and postural control
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IFSP outcomes
* Coach families on positioning, handling, and activity modifications
* Address muscle tone, coordination difficulties, and movement patterns
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including OTs, SLPs, and medical providers
* Complete thorough documentation including evaluation reports and progress notes
* Participate in IFSP meetings, transition planning, and team conferences
* Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and orthotics
* Utilize evidence-based interventions including neurodevelopmental treatment principles
*Experience*
Qualifications and Requirements
* Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
* Current New York State license in Physical Therapy
* Must be certified with NY Early Intervention Program or eligible to enroll
* Strong understanding of infant and toddler motor development
* Experience with pediatric populations preferred
* Knowledge of neurodevelopmental treatment approaches
* Excellent communication and family education skills
* Bilingual (Spanish or other non-English languages/English) strongly preferred
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
