We are seeking a diligent and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team in Richmond, Virginia. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will work closely with inventory management systems to track stock and maintain accurate records. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be handling a wide variety of products. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong work ethic. You will be trained on proper lifting techniques and the use of any required equipment. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately pick orders using a pick list or scanning device.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy before packing.
- Label packages appropriately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Contribute to overall team goals and efficiency in our logistics hub.
This position requires the ability to perform frequent lifting, often up to 50 pounds. Continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching are also essential functions of this role. We value your dedication to safety and your contribution to our logistics success.
