We are seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. In this critical role, you will operate a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. Accuracy and efficiency are paramount to our logistics operations, and your skills will directly contribute to the smooth flow of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe operating environment, adhering to all company policies, and ensuring the integrity of inventory. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Follow all instructions for order picking and put-away of inventory.
- Conduct daily inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Properly use all required PPE while operating equipment and performing duties.
- This role involves periods of operating machinery and some manual lifting may be required, up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck, with valid certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including occasional lifting.
- Commitment to a safe and efficient work environment.
