We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and packing customer orders with efficiency and care. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all items are picked correctly, packed securely, and prepared for shipment in a timely manner. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced environment, adhering to strict safety protocols and quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using a pick list or RF scanner.
- Pack items securely into boxes or other appropriate shipping containers, ensuring proper cushioning and labeling.
- Verify order accuracy and quality before packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the logistics team.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and checks.
- Understand and follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of required PPE.
- Be prepared for physical demands including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order details.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
