Calling all experienced operators! We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling distribution center in Tampa, Florida. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. You'll operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage locations, and assist with order picking and staging. A keen eye for safety and a commitment to operational excellence are paramount. This position is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods in our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve goods.
- Load and unload trailers and trucks accurately and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure operational readiness.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and put-away.
- Ensure that all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, reporting any safety hazards.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Provide support for shipping and receiving activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to operate in various warehouse conditions and wear necessary PPE.
- Ability to work extended hours or shifts as business demands.
