Join our San Jose, California team as a Receiving Clerk! This role is essential for the initial intake of all goods entering our facility. You will be responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and organizing incoming shipments, ensuring that all items are accounted for and stored properly. Your meticulous work will lay the foundation for efficient inventory management and overall logistics operations. We are looking for someone who is organized, diligent, and committed to accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspect items for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received merchandise for proper storage.
- Stage incoming goods for put-away into designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Understanding of basic warehouse and logistics operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as instructed.
- Commitment to upholding a safe work environment.
