In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously picking items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets and then carefully packing them for shipment. All employees are required to adhere to strict Safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times. This position involves consistent movement and may require regular Lifting of packages. Responsibilities:
- Read order tickets or use RF scanners to locate and pick specific items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against the order details.
- Inspect items for quality and condition before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials (boxes, envelopes, padding) for each order.
- Securely pack items to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any required documentation to packages.
- Move packed orders to the designated shipping area.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear and utilize required PPE correctly.
- Perform tasks that include Lifting and carrying items, up to 35 lbs.
- Support the overall Logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Capability to perform tasks involving Lifting and carrying items.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Team-oriented and reliable.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices is essential.
