We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in moving materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflow and inventory management. You will operate various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. A strong emphasis on safety and adherence to operating procedures is essential for this role. This position is vital to our logistics chain, ensuring the safe and timely handling of all products.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Load and unload palletized freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and logistics protocols.
- Comply with all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE, to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment. Ability to perform lifting up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
