Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper processing. Your responsibilities will include inspecting shipments, verifying counts against purchase orders, and entering received data into our inventory management system. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position. You will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our warehouse stock and supporting efficient operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments from carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area, adhering to all logistics and safety protocols.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and gloves, as required.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Ability to perform lifting up to 30 pounds. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer proficiency for data entry. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
