Our fast-paced logistics hub in Houston, Texas, is seeking diligent and efficient Pickers/Packers to join our warehouse team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders and then preparing those items for shipment. Your accuracy and speed are critical to our operational success and customer satisfaction. You will utilize handheld scanners and order pick lists to locate products, ensure correct quantities are selected, and meticulously package items to prevent damage during transit. Maintaining a clean and organized workstation and adhering to all warehouse Safety procedures are paramount. This role requires attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. We emphasize a secure work environment, so the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety vests and gloves is mandatory. This position involves significant standing, walking, and regular Lifting of items up to 40 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order sheets or scanner data.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized picking and packing station.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent standing and walking.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently.
- Basic computer and scanning equipment proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to Safety and following protocols.
