Job Summary:
Our dynamic logistics operation in Raleigh, North Carolina, is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, which is vital for efficient warehouse operations and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and implementing inventory control procedures. Your expertise will help optimize stock rotation, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory. You will work closely with the warehouse management team and operational staff to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking technologies is essential. Safety is paramount in our operations; you will be expected to adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. While not involving heavy manual labor, this role may require some Lifting of inventory items for counting or inspection. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across all warehouse locations.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Implement and maintain accurate inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
  • Utilize WMS and other software to track inventory movements.
  • Ensure compliance with all company Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Generate reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and adjustments.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand and implement complex inventory procedures.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Commitment to Safety and maintaining a secure inventory environment.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting for inventory checks as needed.
