Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Des Moines, Iowa. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, which is vital for seamless warehouse operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Your work directly impacts our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to verify stock levels against system records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory aging and implement strategies for stock rotation.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and production teams to ensure accurate flow of goods.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure proper **PPE** is used at all times and adhere to all **Safety** protocols.
  • Assist with **Logistics** planning and coordination as it pertains to inventory movement.
  • The ability to perform tasks involving **Lifting** up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
