Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Portland, Oregon! This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that goods are received, processed, and shipped accurately and efficiently. You'll be the first point of contact for incoming shipments and the last step before outgoing products reach their destination. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying incoming inventory against purchase orders, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for delivery. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential. You will work closely with the inventory control team to maintain accurate stock levels and assist with cycle counts. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment. This role involves significant lifting and manual dexterity.
Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (training available for qualified candidates).
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory levels and shipping status.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper handling of materials.
