Are you a skilled Forklift Operator? We are looking for experienced operators to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise within our warehouse. This role is vital to our **logistics** operations, ensuring that materials are moved efficiently to support order fulfillment and inventory management. You will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport goods from receiving to storage areas, or to shipping docks, for distribution. A strong emphasis is placed on **safety**, and all operators must adhere to strict guidelines, perform pre-operation checks, and wear the designated **PPE**. The ability to manage **lifting** operations with precision and care is essential. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to operational excellence in the **logistics** industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods from receiving areas to storage, or to shipping platforms.
- Perform daily **safety** inspections of forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment, using forklift equipment.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock placement and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all **safety** regulations and wear required **PPE**, including hard hats and **safety** shoes.
- Support overall **logistics** functions as directed by supervisors.
- Perform **lifting** of various materials and products using forklift attachments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and **logistics**.
- Strong understanding of **safety** procedures and **PPE** requirements.
- Ability to perform **lifting** and maneuvering of heavy loads.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
