We are seeking a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate for our facility in Columbus, Ohio. This pivotal role ensures the seamless flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately documenting all incoming and outgoing shipments, managing inventory, and coordinating with logistics partners. Responsibilities:
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently and accurately.
- Verify contents against shipping documents, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Prepare shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Coordinate with carriers and drivers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse roles preferred.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and mandatory use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
