We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient receipt of all incoming goods, ensuring that inventory is properly logged and stored. Your duties will include unloading trucks, inspecting deliveries for damage, verifying contents against purchase orders, and entering data into our inventory system. This position is critical to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting our overall warehouse operations. - Receive and unload incoming shipments from trucks and carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects and verify against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items in the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for stocking or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with vendors and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Support the logistics team as needed.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of logistics operations is a plus.
