We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be trained on specific equipment and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials. You will be expected to perform pre-operational checks on your equipment to ensure it is in good working order. Adherence to all safety regulations and company policies is paramount. This position involves significant **lifting** and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced **logistics** environment. Your primary focus will be on maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the shipping and receiving departments. We provide all necessary **PPE** and comprehensive training to ensure your **safety** and success in this role. You will be working with a team dedicated to efficiency and productivity, contributing directly to the overall success of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform inventory counts and record discrepancies.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment.
- Adhere to all **safety** guidelines and wear appropriate **PPE**.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including **lifting** and moving items manually.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of **logistics** and warehouse operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to **safety** and proper **PPE** usage.
