Job Summary:
We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our Madison, Wisconsin location. This crucial role involves managing the incoming flow of goods into our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are delivered. Your attention to detail is vital for maintaining accurate inventory records and preventing discrepancies. This position is a key component of our overall logistics process, ensuring that our inventory is always up-to-date and ready for distribution. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to streamline the receiving process.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for quantity and damage.
  • Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
  • Tag and label all received items appropriately.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management.
  • Organize and stage received goods for distribution or put-away.
  • Maintain a clean and safe receiving area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
  • Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure a smooth flow of goods.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including those regarding PPE and workplace safety.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with inventory systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
