We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our operations in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first line of defense in managing the inventory that enters our facility. Your responsibilities will include accurately unloading trucks, inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies, verifying contents against documentation, and processing received goods into our system. This role is fundamental to maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting. We provide comprehensive training on safety procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques. Your role is vital in ensuring our inventory accuracy and supporting our logistics. Key duties:
- Unload incoming shipments carefully and efficiently.
- Inspect all received goods for quality and damage.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document all receiving activities in the inventory management system.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.
- Organize and stage received inventory for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal logistics teams.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Support the overall effectiveness of our logistics network through precise receiving processes.
This position requires the ability to handle frequent lifting, sometimes exceeding 50 pounds, and involves extended periods of standing, walking, and bending. A commitment to safety and accuracy in our logistics flow is expected.
