Join our growing team as a Fulfillment Associate in Detroit, Michigan, and play a key role in our distribution center. You will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and shipping customer orders in a timely manner. This involves navigating the warehouse using a handheld scanner, locating products, and ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected. You'll then carefully package these items, ensuring they are protected during transit and meet our quality standards. Efficiently preparing shipments, including labeling and organizing packages for carrier pickup, is also a core part of this role. We are committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, emphasizing adherence to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE ). This position demands physical capability, including regular lifting of packages up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Understanding the importance of inventory accuracy and contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations are key. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a scanner or pick sheet.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into shipping containers.
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before shipping.
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments for delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear provided PPE as required by safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant lifting and standing.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
