Join our fast-paced logistics hub in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a Receiving Clerk. In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment they arrive. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying received items against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all incoming inventory. A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach are essential for success. You will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and management to maintain seamless operations. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety, and you will be expected to follow all established protocols, including the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Accurately verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received items, noting any issues or exceptions.
- Tag and label inventory appropriately for internal tracking.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Operate pallet jacks and other receiving equipment safely.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding receiving discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses and sturdy footwear.
- Commitment to a safe work environment.
