An Inventory Control Specialist is needed for our facility in Chicago, Illinois. This critical role focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing inventory control procedures. A meticulous approach and a strong understanding of inventory management principles are essential. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our entire logistics chain. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, requiring strict adherence to Safety protocols and the consistent use of PPE . While this role is more analytical, some physical activity including Lifting and moving stock may be required. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. You will utilize inventory management software and contribute to process improvements. Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO, FEFO).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels and report on shortages or overages.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and wear designated PPE .
- Assist with related Lifting and moving of inventory as needed.
