Join our dynamic team as a Picker/Packer in historic Boston, Massachusetts! This role is crucial for the seamless execution of our logistics operations, ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and swiftly. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order details. This requires careful attention to detail and the ability to use scanning equipment effectively. Following picking, you will prepare items for shipment by packing them securely, ensuring they are protected during transit. A commitment to safety is non-negotiable; you will be required to follow all company safety protocols and wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position involves a significant amount of physical activity, including prolonged standing, walking, and the frequent Lifting of packages up to 40 pounds. We are seeking dependable, motivated individuals who are detail-oriented and can contribute to a positive team dynamic. Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is advantageous. Our logistics success depends on your precision and efficiency. Training will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements before packing.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety and presentation.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to outgoing packages.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace to optimize workflow and safety.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
- Utilize all provided PPE, such as safety vests and gloves, as required by safety regulations.
- Assist with receiving and put-away tasks as needed.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies with orders to supervisors promptly.
- Meet established individual and team targets for productivity and accuracy.
This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in an active environment and possess strong organizational skills. Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus. The ability to handle regular Lifting is essential for success in this position.
