As a Shipping Clerk in St. Louis, Missouri, you will be a key player in our logistics department, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This role involves the careful preparation, labeling, and dispatch of products to our customers and partners. Your diligence and organizational skills will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming packages and materials.
- Package products securely for shipment, ensuring contents are protected.
- Create and affix shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and track outgoing shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and update inventory management systems.
- Perform quality control checks on outgoing shipments.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and organization of shipping supplies.
- Comply with all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role is a plus. The ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods is required. Familiarity with shipping software and carrier platforms is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential. Working Conditions:
