We are actively recruiting for a Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This role is essential to our logistics operations, focusing on accurately picking orders and preparing them for shipment. You will be responsible for locating items in the warehouse, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected, and then efficiently packing them for safe transit. This position requires a keen eye for detail, speed, and accuracy, along with a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling various types of merchandise. Adherence to safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE and proper lifting techniques, is mandatory. We provide comprehensive training on our procedures and safety standards. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and has a strong work ethic. Prior experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is advantageous. Your contribution is vital to our success in meeting customer demands and maintaining high operational standards within our logistics network. You will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively with team members to achieve daily goals. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order details.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the use of PPE.
- Perform safe lifting and material handling tasks.
- Meet productivity targets for both picking and packing.
- Communicate any order discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Team player mentality.
