We are hiring an Order Picker for our facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is key to our logistics operations, focusing on the accurate and efficient retrieval of products to fulfill customer orders. You will be responsible for picking items from various warehouse locations, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are selected. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and physical capability. Safety is a top priority; all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices. You will operate equipment such as pallet jacks and RF scanners as part of your daily tasks. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic warehouse environment, demanding stamina and the ability to maintain productivity throughout the shift. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities against pick lists or handheld scanners.
- Stage picked items in the designated area for packing and shipping.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the picking area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Practice safe lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to a supervisor.
- Meet or exceed daily picking quotas.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable and possess good time management skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication skills.
