Join our bustling logistics hub in Boston, Massachusetts, as an Order Picker! We're looking for dedicated individuals to ensure the seamless flow of goods through our distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately select and prepare items for shipment, directly impacting our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role involves navigating a large warehouse, identifying specific products using order manifests, and preparing them for packing and dispatch. You'll be working with a variety of products, so accuracy and attention to detail are critical. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety, and all employees are required to use appropriate PPE and follow established safety guidelines, especially concerning lifting and equipment operation. This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be trained on proper lifting techniques and the safe operation of warehouse equipment. Contributing to a positive team environment and maintaining a high level of productivity are key expectations. Your role is essential in our logistics chain, ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. We value employees who are reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious. Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable, as is a good understanding of inventory control principles. Responsibilities:
- Select and gather products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for transport.
- Operate RF scanners to track inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Perform proper lifting and material handling.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to a supervisor.
- Achieve picking productivity targets.
- Assist with receiving and stocking duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is a plus.
- Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of basic inventory principles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours if required.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Effective communication skills.
- Team player attitude.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
