We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse and **Logistics** processes. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for various stages of our supply chain. A strong commitment to **Safety**, accuracy, and productivity is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and experience in material handling.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled with care.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting as required.
- Ensure adherence to all **Safety** regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of **PPE**.
- Support **Logistics** operations by ensuring a smooth flow of materials.
- The role involves frequent **Lifting** of materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification and experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Logistics** and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of **Safety** procedures and ability to operate equipment responsibly.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and **Lifting** heavy items.
- Willingness to wear required **PPE**, such as safety glasses, gloves, and high-visibility vests.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
